Actually, those are inaccurate questions.  Jesus took care of every sin, as well as every sickness and disease when He died, was buried, and then was raised from the dead.
But, you might ask, why am I sick then?  Why is my loved one suffering so horribly if he is healed?  I don't feel healed; he doesn't look healed!

Those are fair questions. Technically, you ARE healed in the spirit realm, it just has not manifested yet in the physical realm. I like the way that Andrew Wommack explains this:

Healing isn’t up to God alone. It isn’t God who decides who gets healed and who doesn’t. That’s a radical statement, but it’s true. And herein lies some of the greatest obstacles to receiving God’s healing power.

One of the worst doctrines in thebody of Christ is the belief that God controls everything that happens. Fundamentalists/Evangelical Christians believe that God either controls or allows everything, and that Satan has to get His permission before he can do anything.

That’s a convenient theology because it absolves the individual of any personal responsibility. That’s also the reason for its popularity. I know this may shock some people, but it’s true: That belief will kill you. God’s will doesn’t automatically come to pass. We have to believe and cooperate with God to receive what He has provided for us, including our own salvation.

Second Peter 3:9 says it isn’t God’s will for anyone to perish:

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

That’s as plain as the Scripture can make it. It is not God’s WILL for anyone to perish, but they do. In fact, Jesus said more people would enter through the broad gate unto destruction than enter through the narrow gate unto life (Matt. 7:13-14). God doesn’t force salvation on people.

People don’t have to ask Jesus to save them; they just need to believe and then receive the nearly-too-good-to-be-true news that their sins are already forgiven and receive their salvation (Acts 16:31). The same thing is true of healing: God has already healed everyone, just as He has already paid for the forgiveness of everyone’s sins.

Healing is already an accomplished work. First Peter 2:24 says,

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

(Now, hold onto your chair), Jesus isn’t healing people today—healing was given 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem when He took those stripes on His back. He hasn’t, and won’t, receive any more stripes. People today only receive through faith what has already been accomplished by Jesus thousands of years ago.

The Scriptures don’t tell us to pray for the sick, in the sense that we are powerless to minister healing to them. It’s just the opposite: Jesus told US to HEAL the sick (Matt. 10:1, 8; Luke 9:1, and 10:9). There’s a big difference between asking the Lord to heal people and healing them through laying on of hands, anointing them with oil, and COMMANDING sickness and disease to leave; COMMANDING the body to line up with the Word of God.

Most Christians today are appalled at what I’ve just said. They think, Who do you think you are? Well, without Jesus, I am nothing (John 15:5), but the good news is that I’m not without Jesus! He will never leave me nor forsake me (Heb. 13:5). Hallelujah! Therefore, I can say with the Apostle Peter, “Such as I have give I thee” (Acts 3:6).

This is what Peter said when he ministered to the lame man in Acts 3. Peter didn’t pray for this man. He didn’t say, “O God, we can do nothing without You. Please heal this man if it is Your will.” It’s always God’s will to heal (3 John 2). We don’t ask and then wait and see. That’s not believing His Word. Instead of beggars, we need to become believers who, knowing God’s will, use our authority to heal.

Talking and acting like that today will get us kicked out of most churches. After all, who do we think we are? That’s not the way many Christians believe it’s done. And that’s one of the main reasons we don’t see more of the healing power manifested that Jesus provided.

I have prayed for thousands of people in my meetings across the country, and I have yet to see every person healed. It might be a problem in the heart of the one receiving prayer, or it might be something I don’t understand in regards to that particular person. But one thing I know for sure—it’s not God.

    This is Gail now:

If you are asking God for healing, you are praying UN-scripturally.  There are correct ways to COMMAND healing be manifested.  I use this prayer from Kenneth Copeland as a model when I pray for healing:

A Prayer to Receive Healing and Release Faith

If you are ready to receive healing, or if you just want to release your faith for health and wholeness, you can receive right now.

Jesus is the healer. Your part is to say and do. Say out loud, "Jesus is my healer. He bore my sicknesses and my diseases and pain. I expect to receive now!"

Pray this in faith and mean it with your whole heart. Accept it and believe it!

Father, the Word of God that I have heard and confessed is the power of God unto my salvation. I confess Jesus Christ as Lord over my life — spirit, soul and body. I receive the power of God to make me whole, sound, delivered, saved and healed now. I act on the Word of God and receive His power.

Sickness, disease and the ROOT CAUSE of the pain, I resist you in the Name of Jesus. You are not the will of God for me. I enforce the Word of God on you. I will not tolerate you in my life. Leave my presence! I will never allow you back!

I have been healed and made sound. Jesus made me whole. My days of sickness and disease are over.

I am the saved. I am the healed. The power of sickness over my life has been forever broken. Jesus bore my sickness. Jesus bore my weakness. Jesus bore my pain — and I am free.

No sickness, sin, fear or evil addiction shall lord it over me any longer.

I have been redeemed from the curse and I receive the blessing. I proclaim my freedom in Jesus' Name. The gospel is the power of God to me unto salvation. I receive it. I act on it. I am made whole in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

You must know that you know THAT YOU KNOW that it is illegal for the devil to put sickness and disease on you!  Yes, we live in a fallen world where sickness and disease is rampant, but Jesus said, "...In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33)
The way that you enforce your Contract with Jesus Christ is to say aloud, "devil, take your hands off me! I am God's property and you have no right to put those symptoms on me!"
Then declare, "Thank You, Father God, that it is written that 'You sent Your Word - Who is Jesus! - and healed me from every destruction!'" (Ps. 107:20)
Now, don't quit speaking His Word until all the symptoms are gone!  Jesus answered every problem presented to Him by saying, "It is written..."  We must do the same if we are to live any differently than the rest of the world - who sadly, is sick, poor, and living in defeat.

Have you genuinely desired to live for God and serve Him wholeheartedly, but so many bad habits are holding you back?  Are you constantly saying hurtful things to those you love,  and just plain act ugly much of the time? Are you discouraged and feel helpless to overcome these kinds of behaviors?

You don't have to stay that way!  There is a way to get victory over your old nature, but it will require diligence on your part.  No one else can do this for you.  Even though friends and family can intercede for you, it is still YOU who must make the decision and put forth the effort on a daily basis to replace wrong thinking and wrong actions with godly behavior.

Does that sound like too much work?  Maybe you don't know where to start?

In my book, SPIRITUAL WEAPONS HANDBOOK, there are several prayers and personalized Scriptures to help you obtain victory over your unhealthy compulsions, obsessions, and ugly behavior.   Below is a portion of one of these prayers.  Also included in this book is a prayer of repentence and a commitment to the Lord, which is where you should begin.

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bind my spirit, soul, and body to the will and purposes of God. I bind myself to the truth of God's Word.  I bind myself to an awareness of the power of the Blood of Jesus - its redemption, salvation, healing, deliverance, protection and prosperity.

I bind my mind to the mind of Christ so that I can have the thoughts, purposes, and feelings of His heart in me.  I bind my feet to the paths You have ordained for me to walk, Father, that my steps will be strong and steady, for "the steps of a good man/woman are ordered by the Lord."  (Psa. 37:23)

I bind myself to the work of the cross with all of its mercy, truth, love, power, forgiveness, and death to self.  I declare that I will take up my cross and follow You. (Mark 8:34)

This book contains many, many prayers and Scriptural declarations to help you live victoriously in every area of your life.

If you are serious about serving the Lord, this book will be a great asset to you.

I have Jesus’ spiritual DNA, and so do you if you are born-again!  According to Rom. 12:1, when I was born-again I gave Him my flesh and my bones as a living sacrifice.  I took His and He took mine! Mercy is calling my body HOLY AND ACCEPTABLE right now!

I gave Him my mind, will, emotions and personality traits, and I took His!  I gave Him my compulsions, addictions and destructive behavior, and He gave me His clean and stable mind.  I now have the ability to think right and act right.

It is no longer my mind and my body.  I was bought with a price, and now I belong to Jesus. (1 Cor. 6:19,20)  My “sacrifice” to Him is to daily renew my mind. (Rom. 12:2).

I traded every bone and joint in my body for His.  Praise God, His bones and joints are not diseased!

His flesh has no sickness in it!  His flesh has NO cancer, NO arthritis, NO cold or flu or viruses of any kind, NO cause for fever, NO heart disease, and NO diabetes. Therefore, NO part of the curse can be on my body! (Deut. 28; Gal. 3:13)  I have His perfect eyesight, His perfect hearing, and every organ functions perfectly, just like Jesus’!  I AM BLESSED AND CANNOT BE CURSED!

His brain is part of His flesh; it has no memory loss—NO ALZHEIMER’S, no dementia of any kind!  I gave him my brain, and He gave me His; therefore, I have the mind of Christ with perfect memory!

I am one spirit with the Lord: I have His flesh, and I have His bones, and through communion, I have His Blood!  My blood is pure and healthy!  Thank You, Father!  Thank You, Jesus!

Applying the Six I’s of Faith:

“LORD JESUS, I believeI will!  I take Your Flesh!  I take Your bones!  I’m one spirit with You!  I have Your Blood!  You gave it to me!  I have Your Flesh!  I have your bones!  I am so grateful to You!  I thank You, Sir!  Now, I forgive if I have aught with anyone!”

    Scripture References

    • Rom.12:1,2 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be t4ransformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
    • 1 Cor. 6:19-20 - "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in you body and in your spirit, which are God's."
    • Eph. 5:30 - "For we are members of His body, of His blesh, and of His bones."
    • 2 Cor. 5:17 - "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, and behold, all things are become new."  (A new species of being, not an overhaul of the old!)
    • 1 John 4:17 - "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world."

I declare that we are having our biggest and best year ever!  As He is, so are we in the world—RIGHT NOW! (1 Jn 4:17)

Some ppl/ministries caution against praying prepared prayers, but rather, advise to pray from the heart and in your own words. Certainly, there is some validity to that, but the problem with that is, so many ppl do not have enough Word in their heart to pray in faith. What is in their heart is fear and unbelief!   So then they pray in fear, out of their emotions and under the weight of their circumstances. Consequently, all they end up doing is begging God and speaking a lot of fear and unbelief.
They will pray things like this:  "O God, I am so sick; I'm afraid I have cancer."  "Dear God, we don't have any money.  I know we are going to lose our house," or "My son/daughter is such a mess; I'm so scared they are going to hell," etc. etc.
However, if you have access to some "prepared" Scriptural prayers that you can pray aloud when circumstances are screaming in your face, then you can continue to walk and talk IN FAITH rather than in fear!
In my book, SPIRITUAL WEAPONS HANDBOOK, A Collection of Prayers, Declarations, and Teachings to Blast the Devil, you will find many "prepared prayers," that is, prayers that are taken directly from the Scriptures and categorized in over 40 different topics.  I teach you how to find the Scriptures that pertain to your situation, personalize them, and then speak them aloud.  Not only will this increase your faith, but it will let the devil and all his demons know that you know your rights under the Covenant, and you will not allow him to steal from you and your loved ones.
This is why I emphatically believe in "prepared prayers" - they will keep you from saying things contrary to what God's Word says you can have, AND, prevent you from saying things you don't really want to establish!
Certainly, the prayers  in my book must be declared sincerely and in faith, but that is no less true when you read the Bible.   Most believers simply need a little help in learning to speak only what God's Word says they can have, speak only what God's Word says they can do, and can be everything that God's Word says they can be - saved, healed, and delivered!  A user-friendly resource such as my book will keep them focused.
